Must be the season for laying eggs for the Loggerhead Sea Turtles as the anchorage was almost teeming with these creatures. You could stand on boat deck and in just a few minutes spot 3-5 turtles surfacing for a look around.

We happened across a vendor at the N.C. State Fair last fall that was peddling what’s called the “Lazy Leopard Lounger”. It’s been a long time coming, but we finally got a chance to try it out in warm weather on this trip. Putting the davit put into service, I’m hanging out watching the world go by.

There are many large tidal pools on the island and the sand sharks are the unfortunate victims of receding water. The gulls didn’t seem to mind as they enjoyed an easy feast once the flopping ceased.
